St Francis Bay is world famous for its surfing waves called "Bruce's Beauties" after the photographer who featured them in the 1960's cult film "The Endless Summer".
Seal Point, at Cape St Francis, is best described as a classic point break. It is divided into two sections, being the more peaky outside section and the walled up inside section. They are separated by a barnacle encrusted rock that juts out of the water at low tide and covered at high tide, called Full Stop Rock. Occasionally, tide and swell direction permitting, you can surf one glorious long ride from the outside section all the way through to the beach.
Seal Point has bowling sections and is a wave that can be enjoyed by hi-performance rippers and longboarders alike. Seal Point beachbreak is a fairly fickle lady, being dependant on tides and wind. But when she goes it's just full of barrels.
