Weddings and Functions at Cape St Francis Lifestyle Estate

Your wedding is the most important day of your life - planning a wedding can be overwhelming so let us help you make it perfect. We offer various packages tailor made to suit your individual needs. Our Estate with it’s varied accommodation can accommodate your guests and our staff specialize in making arrangements for brides, grooms and guests. They offer a wealth of experience as well as comprehensive lists of the finest service providers in the area. We are here to co-ordinate and plan your wedding within the confines of the Estate.

Pre and post wedding get togethers

As your guests will be staying on our Estate we suggest that you consider a pre or post wedding get together.
There are several ways to have your stag or hen party so let us quote on great rates on refreshments and the likes.
Consider a pre wedding evening dinner at our Joe Fish Restaurant where we can offer a dinner menu for R70 as well as wines, beers at reduced rates .Or sit down to a post wedding Champagne Brunch on The Deck at a mere R90 per head.

Wedding Ceremony

A popular choice is to have your ceremony on the beach in front of our Estate. If you choose not to get married in church or if you are renting our Beach Villas you may choose to have your ceremony on the lawn at Beach Break with the ocean and beach in the background.
An alternative choice is around the pool area at our Joe Fish Restaurant.

Wedding Reception

After photographs and welcome drinks, your reception can be held in various venues on our Estate.

• Joe Fish Restaurant  60 to 70 guests seated

• Joe Fish Restaurant incorporating "The Deck" around the swimming pool with Moroccan stretch tent erected to cover the pool and deck – up to 180 guests seated

• The new Legends Hall which will be operational by the 1st May 2010 – up to 200 guests seated

Music

DJ’s or Musicians are allowed to play until 00.00 (midnight), thereafter music must be turned down out of consideration for our neighbours.

Accommodation

Beach Break has twelve luxurious rooms available, one of which is a honeymoon suite.

Village Break offers accommodation in Cape Dutch style cottages varying in size from 2 to 5 bedrooms.

Club Break consists of one or two – roomed Apartments situated around a communal swimming pool.

Discuss the possibility of a provisional block booking for estimated amount of wedding guests to ensure availability. The booking will be held to a cut off date giving your guests sufficient time to book their accommodation.

To take advantage of the group rates we require a minimum of 2 nights. Minimum 2 nights required over weekends.

The Reception

Joe Fish Restaurant :

Reception area – Joe Fish Restaurant and the outside decked swimming pool area.
Venue is equipped with tables, cutlery, crockery, glasses, cotton serviettes and white table cloths.
The area surrounding the swimming pool is partially covered.

Joe Fish surrounds with Moroccan tent :

Moroccan stretch tent is available for hire at an additional amount of R5,130, inclusive of VAT.
Venue is equipped with tables, cutlery, crockery, glasses, cotton serviettes and white table cloths.

Legends Hall :

Opening officially on the 1st May this state of the art venue is able to cater for up to 200 guests with dance floor included.
Venue is equipped with tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, glasses, cotton serviettes and white table cloths.

Set up of venues may commence 5 hours before the event so please arrange with your décor/flowers supplier and DJ
Draping of the area is allowed.

Menu

The final menu must be confirmed one month prior to the function.
The total number of guests must be confirmed 14 days before the function. The final numbers given will be the minimum amount charged for catering costs.
We will charge accordingly should the final numbers increase.
A service fee of 10 % of Food and Beverage totals will be added into the final account.

Bar and Beverages

There are a number of ways to organize the workings of the bar on your wedding day:

• LIMIT: You select a monetary limit, and / or the drinks that can be offered

• FULL BAR: This may also have a monetary limit

• CASH BAR: A full or limited bar can be available

We guarantee reduced prices on beers and wines.
Kindly confirm your bar request a month prior to your wedding.
Wines, Sparkling wines and Champagne must be selected a month prior to the event to ensure an adequate supply.
We allow you to bring your own champagne for functions. There is a corkage of R20.00 payable per bottle. Bar closes strictly at 24h00.

Hiring Requirement

Our coordinators will put together a quote to suit your style and budget for standard equipment and linen that you may need to hire. Breakages / damages will be charged at the respective items' replacement / repair cost.

Payment

50% deposit will be required to secure the venue within 14 days of confirmation.
The final wedding reception account, incl. accommodation is due IN FULL 10 DAYS BEFORE the wedding.
Extras including the bar tab must be settled before departure.

Children

Children present at your function must be properly supervised.
Children under 12 attending the reception will be charged half the meal rate.
Should you wish to make use of our Baby Sitting service kindly advise prior to the event.

Accommodation

The venue charge for The Legend Hall will be R5000 per day, Joe Fish Restaurant will be R3000 per day but if you and your guests stay on our Estate and meet the requirements regarding accommodation the venue charge will fall away
We require you to book a minimum of R15 000 ‘s accommodation throughout the Estate for the night of the wedding.
All accommodation deposits are non refundable.
Our check-in times are 14H00 with the rooms or houses to be vacated by 10H00 on the day of departure. Times are to be strictly adhered to.

Times

Brunch Wedding: Ceremony at 9am and function to close at 15H00
Lunch Wedding: Ceremony at 11am and function to close at 18H00
Evening Wedding: Ceremony at 3pm and function to close at 00H00

A service fee of R1000 per hour will be charged after the above closing times.

Music

Owing to the fact that we are situated in a residential area the music does travel and can disrupt our neighbours.
With this in mind we do require that:
The music is played at a moderate level, at the discretion of Management.
DJ playing must be inside the tent or chosen venue.
Music must be turned down to a background level at 11.45 pm.
DJ is to stop strictly at MIDNIGHT (00H00)

Account Information

We accept all major credit cards, electronic transfers and cash.
No cheques will be accepted.
A 10% service charge will be added to the total food and beverage bill.
